Juan Antonio Escobar

Señor Escobar began his affection for ceramics in 1971 when he was only 11 years old unceasingly mastering his technique and granting him the title of Master Artisan for the Community of Castilla la Mancha.

Castilla La Mancha in the heart of Spain, scene of the adventures of Don Quixote de La Mancha

Juan Antonio paints traditional Toledo designs that have decorated country homes for generations; landscapes and animals primarily painted in emerald greens and shades of brown, copper, blues.  Juan Antonio is a true artist when it comes to painting detailed boar, deer and pheasant.  While his main forte is depicting animals in a natural setting, Juan Antonio also magnificently paints what is know as Renaissance style; primarily bold shades of blue, golds yellow and orange that pop against their off white background.  Juan Antonio offers finely painted designs using the same ceramic traditions dating back to the time of the Romans in 16th century Spain.
