Since this butter dish measures approximately 7.5″ long by 4″ wide. An American stick of butter will need to be cut down in size to fit in the dish. As with all of our ceramics, this butter dish is lead free and food safe. Dishwasher safe, though hand washing is recommended.
The rectangular shape of this butter dish makes it usable for butter and also for a block of cream cheese.
