Hand Sliced Jamon Iberico from Spain – Free Range 100% Acorn Diet


Fermin brand Jamon Iberico is produced from the Iberico black pig that is raised free range in Salamanca, Spain on a diet based on acorns. The superb flavor and texture of Fermin products is the result of a slow curing proces. This jamon Iberico is cured for period between 3 to 4 years, producing a mild yet complex flavor. This particular jamon is not especially salty, making it a tasty addition to cheese, olives and wine. It is hand-sliced and then vacuum sealed to maintain maximum flavor. Fermin jamon Iberico is gluten free, lactose free and does not contain nitrates.


To achieve this delectable ham that is considered “The King of the Ibericos”, the black Iberian pig is allowed to free range on a diet based on acorns and natural growing plants. The advantage of the acorn is not only the wonderful flavor that it gives to the jamon, but also the high percentage of unsaturated fatty acids that make this meat surprisingly healthy. Jamon Iberico contains more than 55% monounsaturated oleic acid, a natural fat that is considered beneficial to your health . Only olive oil contains a higher level of oleic acid.
